Police all around the country not hiring anyone with an IQ over 100.:

'via Blog this'

A US man has been rejected in his bid to become a police officer for scoring too high on an intelligence test.

Robert Jordan, a 49-year-old college graduate, took an exam to join the New London police, in Connecticut, in 1996 and scored 33 points, the equivalent of an IQ of 125.

But New London police interviewed only candidates who scored 20 to 27, on the theory that those who scored too high could get bored with police work and leave soon after undergoing costly training.

Mr Jordan launched a federal lawsuit against the city, but lost.

The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York upheld a lower court’s decision that the city did not discriminate against Mr Jordan because the same standards were applied to everyone who took the test.

He said: “This kind of puts an official face on discrimination in America against people of a certain class. I maintain you have no more control over your basic intelligence than your eye color or your gender or anything else.”

He said he does not plan to take any further legal action and has worked as a prison guard since he took the test.

The average score nationally for police officers is 21 to 22, the equivalent of an IQ of 104, or just a little above average.

Vaccinations: Informed Consent, Efficacy and Strengthening Immunity

Vaccinations: Informed Consent, Efficacy and Strengthening Immunity:

'via Blog this'First, vaccinations do not impart permanent immunity from the diseases they vaccinate against. Most modern studies show that a high percentage of people who were vaccinated as children have no stored immunity by the time they reach their late teens or early twenties. When exposed to the diseases at this later age, they usually have a much more serious case of these illnesses, which can be fatal more often than when the diseases are acquired naturally as children.
Second, most epidemic-level outbreaks of the various diseases our society is vaccinating against are taking place among fully-vaccinated children. Even in the short-term, where vaccinations have been effective at reducing disease incidence, the immune effects are not universal and more and more children are getting sick anyway. In other words, children are being exposed to the risks of vaccination without the benefits of either short-term or long-term immunity. In roughly the last 30 years, for example, every case of polio in the US has been among previously-vaccinated individuals.
Third, the risks of side effects from vaccinations now appear to be higher than the risks of serious side effects from the naturally acquired childhood diseases. Additional epidemiological research is needed in this area, but the preliminary findings point in this direction. This will become more apparent when the actual long-term side effects of an altered, hypo-functioning or malfunctioning immune system are included. This will include conditions such as auto-immune diseases and cancer, all of which are now at epidemic levels in the US and elsewhere where vaccinations are widespread.
Fourth, the entire philosophy of vaccinations overlooks the crucial importance of actually catching the various childhood diseases as part of the normal development and training of our immune systems. Without ever being properly trained and allowed to exercise itself, we can never be fully certain that our immune system will be able to do its job throughout our lifetime.

Confessions of a Medical Heretic

Confessions of a Medical Heretic:

'via Blog this'"Hospitals exist in such aggressive abundance for the convenience of the medical profession, not for the good of the people they're supposed to serve. Hospitals started out as "poor houses" where doctors could send patients who did't have the money to pay for their services. After awhile, doctors realized that it was much easier for them to have all their patients in one place, with all the machinery right there. Naturally, as medicine becomes less personal and more mechanical, it becomes increasingly convenient for the doctor to manage patients in the hospital. It's a well-known fact that a doctor has to be sharper and more skillful if he treats people on an outpatient basis. As talent and consideration have become rare commodities among doctors, hospitals have burgeoned. Insurance companies drive people into hospitals by refusing to pay for outpatient treatments. If we didn't recognize that hospital and medical insurance payments were really indulgences to keep a corrupt Church solvent, we would bridle at the absurdity of an insurance company preferring to pay thousands of dollars for treatment in the hospital that could be performed out of hospital for hundreds."

LSD - the case for legal change

LSD - the case for legal change:

'via Blog this'The prohibition of LSD cannot be justified on health grounds. It has extremely low toxicity and no addictive potential. Although its use clearly entails some risk it is far less hazardous than tobacco and alcohol, which are promoted around the world by big business with the support of corrupt western governments. In the UK tobacco accounts for 114,000 fatalities each year and alcohol 40,000. Alcohol is also a factor in many road accidents and acts of violence and in high doses causes progressive damage to the liver and brain, as well as damage to the unborn through fetal alcohol syndrome. It is the most widely abused drug in western society. Although I enjoy a beer or malt whisky myself I think a strong case could be made for a ban on the advertising and promotion of alcohol. As testament to its virtues one only has to read the weekly newspaper accounts of drunken brawls, observe the beggars in every town and city, and regard the accumulation of broken bottles and cans that blight our public spaces. (LSD and peyote have been used efficaciously in the treatment of alcoholism and other addictions

JAMA Study: Kids With Fewer Vaccines Have Fewer Doctor and Emergency Room Visits | Health Impact News

JAMA Study: Kids With Fewer Vaccines Have Fewer Doctor and Emergency Room Visits | Health Impact News:

'via Blog this'But the study didn’t prove that, it proved the opposite:
Children who were undervaccinated because of parental choice had significantly lower utilization rates of the ED (emergency department visits) and outpatient settings—both overall and for specific acute illnesses—than children who were vaccinated on time.
So the author’s conclusions and those they hired to write the press release on the study reported this, right? Wrong. Here is what the abstract states as the conclusion of the study:
Conclusions  Undervaccination appears to be an increasing trend. Undervaccinated children appear to have different health care utilization patterns compared with age-appropriately vaccinated children.
The main press release, which was picked up by Reuter’s and repeated in almost every major news outlet reads: “Close to half of kids late receiving vaccines: study”
Here are some other gems from the official press release spin on this (that too many kids not vaccinating according to the vaccine schedule is a public epidemic):
Researchers said that trend is cause for concern because if enough kids skip their vaccines, whole schools or communities may be at higher risk for preventable infections such as whooping cough and measles.

Texas Jailers Run A Rape Camp - "The penalty for smoking pot is serial rape"

Recreational Outrage Time: Texas Jailers Run A Rape Camp - Straight Dope Message Board:

Apparently, a county jail in Live Oak County, Texas, was a rape camp, where female inmates were repeatedly harassed, fondled, raped and forced to perform sex acts on each other for the amusement of jailers. A lawsuit by two female inmates made the allegations, and three guards were arrested, two of whom are in jail and one of whom was not. (Kind of surprising, I didn't think the American legal system arrested perpetrators any more, at least when they are rich and powerful or part of the legal system ... then again, these were very low-level people in the legal system.)

Willie Smith Ward Sentenced To 50 Years In Prison For Stealing Rack Of Ribs:

'via Blog this'"The seemingly stiff sentence handed down Wednesday dates back to a September 2011 incident, in which Willie Smith Ward, 43, attempted to steal a package of meat from the H-E-B grocery store in Waco. An employee approached Ward and asked what he had under his clothing.
Ward said, “I got a knife,” after the ribs fell out from beneath his shirt, the Waco Tribune-Herald reports.
Ward's lengthy rap sheet likely affected the decision of the jurors, who required two minutes to convict Ward and roughly an hour to determine his sentence. His previous convictions include burglary, attempted robbery, cocaine possession and theft, among others.
“This verdict shows that the citizens of this county will not tolerate a continued disrespect and disregard for other people and their property,” said Assistant District Attorney J.R. Vicha. “People who choose to do so will be dealt with seriously and appropriately.”

Cover Up? Paxil and Suicide Risk | World of Psychology:

'via Blog this'During the wash-out period [a period of 1 to 2 weeks before the study begins where subjects are removed from all existing medications], all patients are given daily placebo pills. Hence, another name for this pre-study period is the “placebo wash-out phase.” Patients whose depressions quickly improve during this time are labeled “placebo responders” and excluded from the actual study. Administering a placebo during the wash-out phase is also a technique used by pharmaceutical companies to wee out patients who would respond quickly to a placebo in the official study. This weakens the performance of the placebo by removing quick placebo responders, thereby making the performance of the antidepressants look better.
Pharmaceutical companies use this technique because the placebo effect accounts for such a high percentage of an antidepressant’s effect. According to the FDA, the placebo effect accounts for about 80% of the effect of antidepressants. [...] If the pharmaceutical companies did not use the placebo wash-out procedure, the difference between placebo and antidepressants would be even smaller. Thus, the placebo wash-out phase accomplishes two tasks: washing out patients’ old drugs and weeding out placebo responders.

Write letters to the school and the school board, show up at meetings and speak up for parental rights, inform and organize your friends to do the same. Demand full informed consent, always. It is the only way to protect the rights of parents.
It is TeenScreen’s responsibility to protect parental rights yet its personnel are not doing it. The government makes laws to protect the public from having their rights trampled but so far laws have had little effect on TeenScreen’s operation. Only a concerted, grass-roots effort can restore and protect parental rights. Your voice is needed. Now.

Project MKUltra

Project MKUltra - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

'via Blog this'

In 1964, the project was renamed MKSEARCH. The project attempted to produce a perfect truth drug for use in interrogating suspected Soviet spies during the Cold War, and generally to explore any other possibilities of mind control. Another MKUltra effort, Subproject 54, was the Navy's top secret "Perfect Concussion" program, which was supposed to use sub-aural frequency blasts to erase memory. However, the program was never carried out.[21]
Because most MKUltra records were deliberately destroyed in 1973 by order of then CIA director Richard Helms, it has been difficult, if not impossible, for investigators to gain a complete understanding of the more than 150 individually funded research sub-projects sponsored by MKUltra and related CIA programs.[22]
The project began during a period of what Rupert Cornwell described as "paranoia" at the CIA, when America had lost its nuclear monopoly, and fear of Communism was at its height.[23] James Jesus Angleton, head of CIA counter-intelligence, believed that the organization had been penetrated by a mole at the highest levels.[23]

Goals [edit]

The Agency poured millions of dollars into studies examining methods of influencing and controlling the mind, and of enhancing their ability to extract information from resistant subjects during interrogation.[24][25]
Some historians have asserted that creating a "Manchurian Candidate" subject through "mind control" techniques was a goal of MKUltra and related CIA projects.[26] Alfred McCoy has claimed that the CIA attempted to focus media attention on these sorts of "ridiculous" programs, so that the public would not look at the primary goal of the research, which was developing effective methods of torture and interrogation. Such authors cite as one example that the CIA's KUBARK interrogation manual refers to "studies at McGill University", and that most of the techniques recommended in KUBARK are exactly those that researcher Donald Ewen Cameron used on his test subjects (sensory deprivation, drugs, isolation, etc.).[24]
One 1955 MKUltra document gives an indication of the size and range of the effort; this document refers to the study of an assortment of mind-altering substances described as follows:[27]
  1. Substances which will promote illogical thinking and impulsiveness to the point where the recipient would be discredited in public.
  2. Substances which increase the efficiency of mentation and perception.
  3. Materials which will cause the victim to age faster/slower in maturity.
  4. Materials which will promote the intoxicating effect of alcohol.
  5. Materials which will produce the signs and symptoms of recognized diseases in a reversible way so that they may be used for malingering, etc.
  6. Materials which will cause temporary/permanent brain damage and loss of memory.
  7. Substances which will enhance the ability of individuals to withstand privation, torture and coercion during interrogation and so-called "brain-washing".
  8. Materials and physical methods which will produce amnesia for events preceding and during their use.
  9. Physical methods of producing shock and confusion over extended periods of time and capable of surreptitious use.
  10. Substances which produce physical disablement such as paralysis of the legs, acute anemia, etc.
  11. Substances which will produce a chemical that can cause blisters.
  12. Substances which alter personality structure in such a way that the tendency of the recipient to become dependent upon another person is enhanced.
  13. A material which will cause mental confusion of such a type that the individual under its influence will find it difficult to maintain a fabrication under questioning.
  14. Substances which will lower the ambition and general working efficiency of men when administered in undetectable amounts.
  15. Substances which promote weakness or distortion of the eyesight or hearing faculties, preferably without permanent effects.
  16. A knockout pill which can surreptitiously be administered in drinks, food, cigarettes, as an aerosol, etc., which will be safe to use, provide a maximum of amnesia, and be suitable for use by agent types on an ad hoc basis.
  17. A material which can be surreptitiously administered by the above routes and which in very small amounts will make it impossible for a person to perform physical activity.

  • Breach of contract
Another method of investigating a loan is a mortgage securitization audit.  This is a detailed report on the chain of title of the mortgage note.  This will disclose any violations of state trust laws and/or Internal Revenue Code.  Most importantly, a securitization audit could provide evidence that the party that purports to own a note may not be the actual owner or holder of the note.  This raises serious questions about who has the ability to foreclose on a delinquent note.

Real estate investment trusts (REIT) were created during the Eisenhower administration to help companies that concentrate their business in real estate holdings by reducing or even eliminating the payment of corporate taxes. Typical REITs are companies that own shopping centers, malls, office buildings, apartments and mortgages. But now Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) is using REIT status as a “golden ticket” to reduce its tax bill.

CCA, which owns and operates 44 prisons and detention centers, and another private prison operator, the Geo Group, have successfully argued to the Internal Revenue Service that the money they collect from governments for holding prisoners is similar to rent, thus qualifying them as an REIT.

CCA expects to save $70 million in tax payments for this year—at a time when federal agencies are cutting billions from their budgets due to Washington’s fiscal problems. The IRS’s loosening of restrictions on REITs has led to other companies claiming they are real estate trusts, including casinos, owners of cell phone towers and data storage companies.

"Many years ago, we made a decision that there were certain breeds of dogs that we would no longer insure, and pit bulls are one of those breeds." Witmer explained that the costs of dog-bite claims were too high for the company to continue to cover.

"While many people are familiar with steroid abuse among athletes, few are aware of its prevalence within the law enforcement community, particularly in more urban areas, said John Hoberman, who has extensively studied steroid use and trends among law enforcement.
"There is a great deal of steroid use by police officers in the U.S. It’s probably in the tens of thousands," he said. "It’s not taken as seriously as a threat as other so-called drugs of abuse."

Police Juice Up on Steroids to Get 'Edge' on Criminals - ABC News:

'via Blog this'"Soon after that close call, Matthew turned to illegal anabolic steroids for both strength and self-esteem, a decision for which he paid a heavy price. Two years later, in 2005, he was caught and forced to resign. He spent 23 days in jail.
Matthew's case is just one example in an increasing trend among urban police officers working tough beats. In New York City this week six police officers are being investigated for allegedly using illegal prescriptions to obtain anabolic steroids for bodybuilding.
According to law enforcement experts, Matthew is the prototypical steroid user — in his 30s, white and worried about competing. In Matthew's case, he was trying to stay on top of a job that constantly forced him to face younger and stronger criminals.
"I look back on that and other scuffles, and I was not nearly as tough and strong as I once was," said Matthew, now a 33-year-old single father.

Misuse of supraphysiological doses of anabolic steroids is claimed to have serious side effects. The aim of the study was to determine the mortality, and the cause of premature deaths among a group of subjects who are strongly suspected to have used anabolic steroids for a non-medical purpose over several years. The mortality of 62 male powerlifters placed 1st-5th in weight series 82.5-125 kg in Finnish championships during 1977-1982 was compared with the mortality of population controls. The mortality during the 12-year follow-up was 12.9% for the powerlifters compared to 3.1% in the control population. By 1993 eight of 62 powerlifters and 34 of 1094 population controls had died, thus the risk of death among the powerlifters was 4.6 times higher (95% CI 2.04-10.45; p = 0.0002). The causes of premature death among the powerlifters were suicide (3), acute myocardial infarction (3), hepatic coma (1) and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (1). These findings add to the growing amount of evidence of an association between anabolicsteroid abuse and premature death, and support the view that measures to decrease AAS misuse among both competitive and amateur athletes are justified.

There is also growing evidence that steroid use increases the risk of suicide, depression, psychotic behavior and homicidal behavior and aggression among regular users. Steroid use among adolescents and young adults seems also correlated with poor self steam, problems with self image and parental over concern with body image. Steroid use is also likely to instigate regular users to experiment with other recreational illegal drugs, particularly opioids. Don't believe me? Check out those links:

Bottom line: It is time to stop the fallacy that "steroids when used safely won't have major detrimental effects on your health".

  • Users often become fixated on their muscularity and are reluctant to stop using AASs for fear that they will get smaller again.
General Medical Effects of Use
Anabolic steroids can cause temporary or permanent medical problems. Some known medical problems associated with AAS use follow:
  • Decreased sperm production
  • Abscess at the site of injection
  • Increased or even severe acne
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Increased “bad” (LDL) and lower “good” (HDL) cholesterol, with attendant increased risk of heart attack
  • Thickening of the wall of the heart (especially in the left ventricle)
  • Increased or decreased sex drive (libido)
  • Increased appetite
  • Liver disease, especially with AASs taken orally (infrequent)
  • Death from several causes, including suicide, atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries leading to heart attacks or strokes), and cardiac complications
  • HIV and similar risk issues associated with the sharing of needles or the use of nonsterile needles

'via Blog this'While the park is equipped with security checkpoints and guards who search bags for weapons, Lista apparently walked through them unmolested. The park does not use metal detectors. Lista told police the gun “just slipped out” of his pocket during the ride, according to WOFL-TV.
Florida has some of the nation’s most liberal gun laws, permitting concealed carry permit holders to bring weapons with them almost everywhere, although by law they are banned in bars, schools, courthouses, police departments, mass transit centers, ports, state parks and other government buildings.

Disney, however, is not officially a protected area according to Florida’s limited gun regulations, but it exists in a strange legal limbo built upon two phantom “cities” that enable Disney to employ its own police force and exercise dictatorial control over areas within the park’s boundaries. Because Disney owns all the land and all its residents elect Disney loyalists, they are able to ban weapons by fiat through provisions in Florida’s property laws.

D.A.R.E.-Just say no

(I didn't go through DARE, and I'm not on drugs. I know lots of kids who did, and they are on drugs. it's a fucking waste of taxpayer money. Just stop.)

D.A.R.E. is Community Policing

D.A.R.E. is universally viewed as an internationally recognized model of community policing. The United States Department of Justice has identified how D.A.R.E. benefits local communities:
  • D.A.R.E. "humanizes" the police: that is, young people can begin to relate to officers as people

  • D.A.R.E. permits students to see officers in a helping role, not just an enforcement role

  • D.A.R.E. opens lines of communication between law enforcement and youth

  • D.A.R.E. Officers can serve as conduits to provide information beyond drug-related topics

  • D.A.R.E. opens dialogue between the school, police, and parents to deal with other issues

(At this point in history, "humanizing" police is a bad idea, as anyone stupid enough to trust them knows.)
