Judge sends human trafficking case to grand jury - SFGate:

'via Blog this'...s Warren District Judge John Brown made the decision after testimony Wednesday at a hearing for 30-year-oldRose Marie Woolbright, 37-year-old Chad Wayne Simmons and 28-year-old Pedro Lopez-Diaz.
Police Sgt. Brian Harrell testified that Woolbright, who is a relative of the victim, allowed the men to engage in sexual activities with the girl and accepted money from Lopez-Diaz.
Woolbright is charged with human trafficking, unlawful transaction with a minor and sodomy. Simmons is charged with sodomy and unlawful transaction with a minor. Lopez-Diaz is charged with second-degree rape.
Under cross-examination during the hearing, Harrell said no forensic rape kit was performed on the girl. He also said police aren't sure whether video exists of some of the alleged sex acts.
"We seized a lot of computers, video cameras and CDs," Harrell said. "We are still processing them."
Harrell testified that the hospital notified police about the case on Oct. 17, when the mother of the teen took her to a hospital with complaints of soreness in her genitals.
During the course of the investigation, Harrell said investigators interviewed the girl, Woolbright, Simmons and Lopez-Diaz.
"(Woolbright) admitted to participating in sexual acts with the juvenile victim and Pedro gave Rose and the victim money," Harrell said. He testified that the victim received $5 while Woolbright got $20.
Harrell also said Woolbright told police Simmons had sexual contact with the child.
