MN Turning Away Black Voters

Nation's racial legacy shapes Minnesota's voter ID debate | StarTribune.com:

'via Blog this'The linkage between Selma and St. Paul and between Jim Crow and photo ID has emerged as one of the hottest buttons in the debate over proposed changes in state election laws. Minnesota has become a flashpoint for this national debate, which has involved the Voting Rights Act of 1965, anti-fraud billboards in inner-city neighborhoods and a determined effort to link the ID fight to the civil rights movement.

From one of our MN Fans: ***ATTN: Minnesota Voters***
Just came back from voting & they are turning away black folk left & right...We saw 3 different black women turned away for supposedly not having the right documentation...and I spoke to a woman who said she got turned away 2 times and had to go home and get more documentation 3 times before they finally let her vote...So here is a list of what you need in Minnesota to vote...also if you have the documents on this list and they still try to turn you away please turn your phone on to video record and let them know you are recording them and ask them why they aren't letting you vote and what more documentation you need to vote...Please do not give up...keep going back until they let you vote!
