Slasher was unable to resist "evil forces" within him.

A man suspected in a series of fatal stabbings in the Flint, Michigan area has been found guilty of first-degree murder in one of those fatal stabbings. Elias Abuelazam was convicted of the August 2010 murder of Arnold Minor in the first of the cases to go to trial.
Under Michigan law, Abuelazam faces life in prison without parole.
Jurors rejected Abuelazam's insanity defense, finding him guilty of stabbing the 49-year-old Minor and leaving him to bleed to death on the street. Defense experts testified that Abuelazam was unable to resist "evil forces" within him.
Not Legally Insane
The prosecution called expert witnesses who testified that Abuelazam's careful planning of his attacks and carrying out those plans in the early morning hours when few witnesses would be around, proved that he was not legally insane.
Abuelazam, is suspected in five fatal stabbings and nine other stabbings that left victims wounded in the Flint area alone. He has been charged in only two fatal attacks along with seven charges of attempted murder in the other cases.
Other Victims Testified
He was put on trial for the Minor murder first because prosecutors said it was the case they had the most physical evidence. After Abuelazam was arrested at the Atlanta airport trying to return to his native Israel, investigators found Minor's blood in his SUV and on his clothes.
During the eight-day trial, several of his stabbing victims who survived testified that he was the man who pretended to have car problems and then stabbed them when they tried to help.
