Many are questioning the vague wording of the bill, wondering if it could go as far as prohibiting birth control. The main fear associated with this bill is that victims of rape will be forced to give birth to their rapists’ children, whether they wish to do so or not. The possibilities of what are illegal under this bill are posing many questions, such as: Will doctors be legally allowed to perform in-vitro fertilization? What if a pregnant woman experiences life threatening complications? Questions like these have not been addressed in the wording of this act, which is scheduled to become effective November 2012.
