Barbara Moskowitz, a friend fromBoca Raton, is organizing a car wash fund-raiser for O'Connor on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Quarterdeck restaurant, 3155 S. University Drive in Davie. Donations of any amount will be accepted.

Moskowitz also set up a donation page on http://www.everribbon.comunder the name Erin O'Connor, who worked as a calendar model before the attack.

Since then, she has not been able to do any calendar shoots or work at Round Up, a country western bar in Davie.

"I don't know how much she is going to need in medical bills," Moskowitz said. "But when it comes to plastic surgery, it's astronomical."

O'Connor is now living with her sister in Fort Lauderdale.

She has already undergone two surgeries, Moskowitz said. Her next is scheduled for March.

Moskowitz and O'Connor became fast friends after meeting at Roundup nearly two years ago.

"She was bubbly friendly and someone whose face I liked to see every week," Moskowitz said.
