This is a sad sign of the tough foreclosure market across the country, the Foreclosure Dog. There has been a large upturn in the amount of dogs that are being turned into animal shelters across the country as people are forced to give up their homes and the ability to care for their pets.
I don't see any Pit Bulls in this story, my point being the 'strays of detroit' video featured lots of Pits, and implied these were dogs raised lovingly and left at shelters. It seems that the loved dogs, who are more apt to behave reasonably in a family situation, are lovingly left at shelters. Not just left in the road, or at the abandoned house.
