Four charged in human trafficking ring - BostonHerald.com:

'via Blog this'Three men and one woman were arrested today in connection with a human sex trafficking operation currently under investigation in the Boston area, Attorney General Martha Coakley said.
The arrests of Rafael Henriquez, 39 and his wife, Ramona Carpio Hernandez, 50, both of East Boston, and Milton Lopez-Martinez, 26 and Diego Suarez, 34, were the first under the state’s new human trafficking law which, went into effect last month. All four were charged with one count of human trafficking.
Coakley said Henriquez and Hernandez are believed to be the “primary leaders” of what she called a “sophisticated” human trafficking operation.
“We allege that these individuals ran an extensive human trafficking operation by transporting women into Boston and profiting from their sexual services, with some women being sold as many as 15 times in one day,” she said.
Bruce M. Foucart, special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations Boston, said law enforcement groups joined together months ago to investigate human trafficking in and around Boston.
“Today’s arrests are the result of the great partnership HSI has with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and Massachusetts State Police in our unyielding resolve to bring human traffickers to justice,” he said.
