'via Blog this'East Tennessee districts identified as exemplary (Knoxville News-Sentinel/McCoy)
Jack Parton found out at the end of last week that Sevier County Schools was one of 21 districts statewide being recognized as exemplary. “We were just elated, and I can only give gratitude to where it actually needs to be, and that’s to our teachers and our support staff,” said Parton, the district’s director of schools. “We had a strategic plan and we went by that strategic plan. All the praises have to go to the teachers, because they worked hard. I’m very pleased.”
