Mayor gets revenge after parking ticket by creating his own space

One Indiana mayor has taken the phrase "You can't fight city hall" to a new level—a gigantic, painted level that has a personalized parking sign. Last Friday, Logansport police officers noticed mayor Ted Franklin's yellow Corvette was illegally parked outside and contacted his office. Four hours later, it was still there, so the officers issued him a ticket. On Monday, Franklin paid the $20 fine, and then ensured he wouldn't get another one by combining three spaces into a yellow-painted Mega-Spot, decorated with a matching "Mayor Parking Only" sign. Why the sign? Probably because, until that morning, those spots had been reserved for police officers … Well, at least he didn’t overreact. [Source]
