'via Blog this'Billy Ray Hill's first-degree murder trial is set to begin Oct. 1.
Hill is 44 years old. He was 19 when his mother, Bobbie Lou Hill was found fatally beaten and stabbed in 1986.
Authorities arrested Billy Hill just over a week ago. A judge told him Monday the court would appoint a defense attorney to represent him.
Hill is held in lieu of $503,000 bond. A bond motion was scheduled for May 1.
