Meet the 10 Worst Landlords in NYC Right Now
Like a solstice of bad human behavior, the semi-annual NYC's Worst Landlords Watchlist (Summer Edition!) was released this morning. The interactive report is prepared by the office of Public Advocate Bill De Blasio and posted on Craigslist to make the process of apartment seeking on a free public listings forum even more anxiety riddled. The Worst Landlords Watchlist features 330 landlords who own a total of 360 buildings. Let's get right to people who've floated to the top, shall we?

It doesn't take a degree to figure out one should steer clear of chart topper College Management of the Bronx, but we have to hand it to the hilariously misnomered Quality Management in Brooklyn, who managed to accrue 71 violations per unit, or almost double the next worst offender. That's probably a lot of sleepless nights for tenants in that figure.
This is De Blasio's fourth semi-annual list of the city's worst landlord offenders, and the list found a home on its own siteLandlordWatchlist.com in 2010. The Public Advocate says that his goal in publishing the list is to shame landlords into improving building conditions for tenants.
